Some people can be very weird, js like me. Can’t stand the smell of durians, but like to eat durian-flavour cakes, ice-cream etc. Don’t eat prawns, but ‘ha-kao’ is a must-order dish when I go for dim sum, And yes, I’m ordering nyonya prawn noodles soup in a restaurant at subang airport now. I think the staff here must be wondering when he sees my bowl, wow, finished the whole prawn noodle soup but without touching on the prawns? =P

I can't believe tat when there're only 4 ppl to be chosen among the 70 exec in PPP, to become the high-ended rating, i'm 1 of them! When i was informed 'bout this, i was like thinking....Ha??! so high?! i dowan laa... =P To me, to be frank, due to restriction by quota, as long as i'm given either one of the AT or EE, i'm satisfied but i've never imagined i will get this high. I know i'm not good, or good enough, but i oso appreciate the recognition given by my management, or the appraisal committee. Thanks to pn noraini as she's the one who gives me the chances to be promoted and get this SEE. Ya, sometimes i feel pressured (and of course, i'll blame, hehe) as her expectation is high, and too much to be requested and done, really need to muddle through the various and never-ending initiatives, until a stage that, when i listen to her voice, i'll be thinking "oh-no, pls don come and look for me...." =P Well, when the recognition is given, simultaneously expectation will be higher and higher...need to work harder, or should i say....smarter?....thinking of the coming projectsssss and intiativessss, arghhhh.......Oh weekend, can come faster ah?! =P

Unbelievable, i drank (whisky) and i danced!!! i can't imagine (till now), i was soooo........well.......*speechless* I was even described as a "Good Drinker"!!...OMG, how would this adjective link with me?? Will they believe that i actually don't drink? Sabahan are natural drinker, it runs in their blood?? (plis laaa....) but i was really surprised when i realized i was still "ok" after a few glasses..some more "bottoms up" for once.....gosh!!! i even beat the others (while 1 of the guys vomited, aiya)! surprisingly i was energetic for the whole night long... However, i enjoyed, we all did!! I'll remember the moments where we danced like crazy!!! It was just crazy fun! Got to know some of my pep 16 frens hav been promoted, even within 3 years, due to compliment filling up. Suddenly i feel like, well, you don't need to be very good in your work. It's not the issue whether you achieved high in your KPI or competency rating. As long as there's a compliment, and ur performance isn't teruk sangat, then u'll be promoted. So in other words, i shouldn't stay in OSEC izit...since there'll be no compliment for E14/15 for the next 5 years...... B4 i left the office today, i was telling myself "balik la...kalau tak ade komplimen, kerja sampai kiamat pun tak akan naik" (i'm not sure y i used to think and tok in BM when i'm in the office). Actually i hate myself for thinking in this way, for being demotivated, for thinking negatively and for being calculative. I just hope to be happy going and leaving the office. Life has been so difficult, can i not to be complicated? Anyway, i really feel happy for Patricia. How lucky she is! and it'll be easier when i need to deal wif Kepong nx time since she's the pengurus of PP&P there.. It's ok WKL, this is called "rezeki"...like it onot...you still need to wake up at 5:15am tmr and start ur working day!

I'm confused. Should or shouldn't i? Although he's not my "dream guy"...I know he'll be a good bf, and even a good hustband. I know i'll be a happy person being pampered by him. I really feel touched for everything he has done to me all these while. The issue now is, even though he treats me nice, very nice, i don't love him.....ok, mayb i shouldn't use the word love here, i don't "like" him enough... I still hang on with him, because i'm afraid, one day i'll feel regret of letting go a nice guy, who treats me so nice and appreciates me of who i am. Huh, i know i'm selfish. At least, do allow me to be selfish, for at least some time. Ppl always say: It's better to find some1 who loves you more than you love him. I always remind myself "What if i really hav found some1, very rich, handsome....but he doesn't love me enough? i'll be the one who suffer at the end"....yea, i understand all the theories, i really do. But i'm really not ready for that because......ok, i admit that i still can't let go of my past relationship. It's really unfair for me to accept him at this moment. To be honest, i have no confidence towards love or relationship, anymore. Till today, i've just poured my real feelings towards 3 men... first, of course my 1st-ex, second, of course my 2nd-ex, and the third, huh..this is ridiculous, someone whom i know we won't hav ending right fr the beginning... I've met with so many guys after my break up. Well, someone VERY rich, yet, married...someone handsome and looks smart, yet, playboy and...pls forgive me to use the word "cheap"...macam2...yet, although i'm not smart, or being naive sometimes, i still can differentiate who sincerely treat me nice and who aren't, whom i can just treat as normal frens. Ija's baby boy was born in 27 April 2010! Visited her and the baby boy today. I was so touched! Suddenly i have the urge to get married and have a baby asap. Ya, i always have such feeling whenever i see babies =P They all commended...due to the seat setting, Ija looked at me most of the time during office hr, tat's why her baby is as fair as me!! lol When i was using the printer today, suddenly i thought of you. Ija won't be here to help me.... =( I still remember............. the situation when your water bag pecah that day when you js finished your prayer in the room...erhem, well, u still acted steady nonetheless, haha... I still remember............ when we both waited for Prem in the carpark, you saw Prem was walking towards his car. U said "Nak naik mercedes tu ke?" i replied " Tak laa! dia ambil kunci kereta lain jer....hey, at this moment, u masih ade mood nak pilih naik kereta ape ke????".... We both laughed heartily, yea, u mentioned it b4, u didn't 1 2 naik kereta tu.....too low for you...... I still remember.......... we tried to cheer u up in the car, js to release your tension........u looked pale when you experienced the 1st contraction inside the car....... I still remember.......... when your hustband reached the hospital, we're 'bout to leave, b4 leaving, we hugged each other and i said "Be strong ya!......." i tried to give you a supportive smile, as much as i could. =) Gonna miss you.........and your laughter, very much! Dunno y, and dunno who occupied my office carpark today. After having b'fast wif Liza, still, the car hadn't moved yet...There's even no place/corner for me to park illegally...While thinking hard on what to do, suddenly Ija's car passed by, Liza and her had the same advise to me "Block jer kereta dia...biar dia tau and learn the lesson, jgn sebarangan park kat tempat orang..." Ija left. Agn, Liza guided me "u park tepi sikit...block kereta dia..." I looked at her.."ha? boleh ke macam ni..." "Kenapa tak boleh?....siape panggil dia park macam ni?"...i spoke softly "takut laa..." suddenly, i heard her saying spontaneously "jgn takut! I ade!! "Listening to her saying this with a serious expression, i was vy touched in fact. I feel vy grateful that i'm blessed with some good frens in the office.... Liza: Sometimes, i do think that i'm vy "ngam" wif Taurus ppl...I do admit that sometimes, i tend to neglect her, especially recently when i've moved in to the room and mixed much wif ZZ and Ija. Anyway, whenever i need a companion, she's alwiz there for me and listen to me. Some ppl may misunderstand her personality, but to me, i know her well and i really appreciate the friendship wif her. Ija: Some ppl say it's not easy to stay and share in a room, and be in the same unit but thanks God, i alwiz meet the right ones, hehe, e.g. Adeeb and Ija...Since i've moved in and shared the room wif her, i hav the chance to know her better and our relationship and friendship develops. We always share things together, yea everything, fr jokes, frustration, feeling etc. Thanks for being there for me whenever i'm stressed at work. I still remember one day, early in the morning when we js reached the office, v both like...huh, it's another working day...gosh...and u told me "ya...semasa kat rumah, i was thinking, frus yier nak kerja..tapi i fikir..tak ape, kai lan ade...." Haha, actually i was thinking the same! =) ZZ: Well this little woman...erhem, last time i alwiz thought tat we would be closer if we're not of boss-subordinate relationship and my assumption was right!! Although i'm still working under you, u're not my IM...and we've become so close as good frens. Despite the serious (garang) expression that you portray and the tone u speak when u're having the meeting wif other dept (especially ICT), or when u're frus wif some1 else, you're in fact oh-so crazy, funny and....i may say "cute"...the way you described ppl, or issues, will alwiz make me feel laughing non-stop. Although some ppl may not accept your "way", you and Ija, hav really lighted up my dayssss~ Js that, sometimes, or i should say most of the time, u both are so bising and laughed really loud lo. "hey, boleh tak lady-like sikit...." haa, this will be my advise whenever i feel tak tahan. Undoubtedly, ZZ has guided me a lot in my work and by working wif her, i could understand what "teamwork" is. I alwiz remember her honest comments and i admit that..."Kai Lan, u're a very good implementer, but you should improve on your managerial skill if u wanna go higher...". Who else...ya, the cute and innocent Ira, Zahirah (who alwiz fights wif me)...Nizam-Jason (a vy "manja" fren), Rahim-Roy (a "father-ly" fren), Tn Syed-Eddie (a playboy fren), Prem (a fren who helps me a lot, ya, hav the chance to alwiz sit in his CLS 350 or lexus for b'fast), Keenan (who made me understand the theory: don't judge a book by its cover...yea, i din like him initially until that interview...he's not as "lorat" as i thought...haha).... At least, you all made me think that, i'm not alone all the way.

I think i've changed, till a stage that i even doubt myself . Nowadays, i'll think bad and negatively 'bout others, i've learnt to be fake, i'll criticize others, i distrust even on the sincerity of others treating me nice and yes, i've started to haggle over every ounce and be calculative over gains and losses. I dunno wat makes me change. The working environemnt? No, i shouldn't blame on others 'coz i have the right and choice to think and act in a good and right way. Sometimes i'll console myself that this is the way (or strategy) to survive in a competitive world. I know this is wrong. This is just an excuse to make me feel better. Packed with various outings & gathering since christmas. Life is happening & tiring. Sleeping at 3am and waking up at 11am in average (even slept at 5am for 3 nights!). Went clubbing for 2010 count down~ Haven't clubbed for quite some time.

Been rouse up with force and spirit during clubbing till dao ping commented on the next day "Hey, you're really high last nite!" "Did i??"...haha, maybe she's right. I remember i was shouting while standing on the bench, looking at the fireworks...i was thinking and telling myself "2010 will be a new start for me, a happy one!" It's time to rest more and get ready for the coming working week....Yea, getting older, i need more rest..... ><

Just finished my handing over job list. To be frank, i feel so much unwilling to give up on SISTeRS. I still have so much to do with MSL, GSL and DSL, as well as on Customer Charter. Well, life is alwiz full of unexpectancy and it's alwiz beyond our control. It's time to say goodbye to my good team mates - ZZ and Ija. Being with them is alwiz so much fun! I'll miss their laughter, the loud one of course! Some ppl said it's difficult to work with ZZ, however, undeniably, she sayang and appreciates me much and guides me well in my work. I know she's so much unwilling to let go of me, thus she's still trying to persuade management to hold me back. Don't worry, i'll still assist you if you need me. Well, time to say hello with OSEC and CMC Metro. Honestly, i'm not sure why i was assigned to this work scope. Being in OSEC and CMC, i need to be a good leader. That's just not me, i'm too introvert and coward for this. I prefer to be a good follower. However, since this has been the fact, i need to accept this, being willingly, or unwillingly. I hope i'll work well with Ju. Maybe others will compare Datin with Ju or me, however, i think we just need to contribute our best. Datin has spent nearly 7 years in CMC, it's fair for us to take some time adapting to this new work scope. Mayb CMC will really be out-sourced? who knows.... Got to know fr my dailou that, hy's grandma has passed away. I feel sorry to hear that. Although I hav nothing to do wif Pang's family anymore, i still appreciate what they've done to me, during those 7 years. I know uncle and auntie treated me just like their own daughter. Marriage and having affairs are really 2 different things. Listening to them, i hav much thought 'bout married men having affairs. It's 'bout willingness between both parties, it's 'bout knowing the extent, or even knowing when to let go, w/o being deeply attached to. It should be a game (i'm not sure whether it is) w/o hurting anyone. I've also learnt that, when knowing or suspecting hustband of having affairs outside, wat an astute wife should do is just to keep quiet. I still remember when I was in primary skul, teachers used to ask us writing essays on My Family. Erhemm….ok….let me start composing now. Well, my name is Wong Kai Lan, as shown in the name, I was born in Wong’s family. People used to call me ‘Wong’ when I started to work. I think I prefer ‘Kai Lan’ as it refers to my real name, or else, I think they’re just calling my father’s name, or my grandpa’s, hehe. But here in KL, my colleagues used to call me Kai Lan, and, KL. Whatever it is, I’ll respond to them as long as I know they’re calling me. (Wong Kai Lan, u’re diverting from your topic….) I was born in a happy family. This is my father. I call him as “Ba…...” He’s my backer, or patron whenever I’m in trouble, well, such as, when being scolded by mum. Besides being my patron, he’s my supporter, or I should say, my sponsor, yes, financially. It’s a norm that whenever I ask for RM500, he’ll double up the sum of $, being scared that I’ll stay in hunger. So being her good daughter, I’ll make sure that I spend my money sparingly.

Ohya, he’s also our “omnipotent” or all-powerful engineer at home, he’ll fix whatever the problem, from electrical appliances, right to the furniture fixing…everything. Since my bro left us to NZ 16 years ago, he’s the ONLY MAN at home, whom we love so much! His personality? Funny, of course. Everytime when he acts childish, I’ll post him a question “May I know how old are you?”…Even though i like to tease him, among the siblings, i know he loves me the most! haha.

Next…..my mum! I call him as “Mummy”, or “mi…..” People used to say “a kind mother and a severe father”, but in my case, I think she “was” strict when I was young, comparing to my dad. Well, there must be an angel and devil between the parents rite…so maybe, my mum is the unlucky one! Anyway, she’s still our loving and cute mum! Her most frequent advice to me…. “Eat more arrr….” *fainted*

Here comes Wong Kai Li…my sis….well, she’s 7 years younger than me. Yet, I think she’s more mature than me, mentally. Don’t be cheated by her baby face, in fact, she’s cool, and I think she’s more trendy than her sis! You know, the typical youngster, being so energetic that she can reach home late at night (or early morning)…Looking at her, I would blame myself for being so obedient at my young age, (Imagine, 1st started to go clubbing at the age of 28?!!)...Well…anyway….my sis just started to work in NZ and I wish her all the best in her life.

Here comes my brother! Wong Gee Hing, whom I call him as “Ge…..” Well, he’s supremely rich! Earning…well, at least 10 times more than my salary per month…I admire him not because he’s rich, but due to the fact that, he’s rich by himself, w/o much supported by the family. I remember my parents used to tell us, the only precious “asset” they can provide us is in terms of education and among the siblings, he’s the only one who has made good use of the “asset” given, hehe…Undeniably, he’s capable. A doctor, who’s also a man of foresight in investment. Yes, I admire him. Last but not least, the new comers to Wong’s family….The little angel Wong Su Yao and her gentle and soft-spoken mum, Yin Zi. By having them with us, we may learn to appreciate each other more as a family!

Yea, i should write this in my blog, so that 1 day, if i'm upset wif my work (who knows..) i can read this bk and i'll b determined to move on... =) Quite surprised & touched to hear this fr Mr Nirinder, during his closing speech for the K-Portal SME training... "Good work done by Kai Lan. I still remember the 1st day i asked her to do this project, she said "Ha?? Me?...but i'm not tat good in IT...."...and today, she did it! I'm really glad that she took up the challenge and she has done a good job. She managed to do it in such short period of time. Congratulation and keep up the good work!" Yea, i still remember, at tat time, i really took a sceptical attitude towards my capability in project management. Mayb i was fobia of what i've seen fr Pn Zatun, the way she managed e-App and SISTeRS... I alwiz (till today) think that, i'm a good follower rather than a leader...All these while, i'm just assisting Pn Zatun in CRM applications...but now, i'm so glad that, i hav my own project/system, which i've developed fr zero. This is called the job satisfaction kut....maybe.... I know Mr Nirinder feels very proud of this K-Portal idea. That's why he kept mentioning 'bout this during the diff "functions"...even b4 this portal was really well-developed! OMG....till i had no choice but to make this a success, by hook or by crook. Well, i should continue to work hard. This week, i'll meet up with the ICT team agn for the discussion, and yes...i've to urge the SME to complete their work/roles.......wat......prefering 1 to 1 session?.....aiyoo....GUYSssss....sighh!~

I know her becoz her boyfren is my best fren. She used to call me "Dailou" (bro), then indirectly she becomes my "xiomei" (sis). Describe something you know about her. Working with ZZ is sometimes a 'nightmare' for me.

As if i'm alwiz running out of time during office hours.

Everytime when i think that finally i have the chance to catch my breath, i'll soon hear her screaming fr her room "Kai Lan!~~" Sighhhh~

Having the chance to read and forward personal emails nowadays has become a 'bonus' for me.

ZZ made me remember of Adeeb. They both are bold and daring, especially when it comes to work. ZZ is too, dare to love and hate....but, ZZ is crazily mad. Please don't be scare off when she breaks into a laugh. =P Sometimes i'm wondering whether this is her way of releasing her work pressure.

Working with her made me feeling tension most of the time. I'll alwiz have a well-knit time. She let me think of SISTeRS, e-App, M&E audit, and this is the worst...everyday when i wake up in the morning, i'll be thinking "What do i need to settle in the office today?" What a miserable life. Sometimes, i'll grumble due to the workload, due to ZZ....but i know she's nice indeed...due to this, i've slowly accepted her "bossiness"~ I will still be feeling happy chatting wif her on unofficial stuffs.....on shopping, on make-up, on fashion.....sometimes, i'll be thinking, we'll become even closer if we're not of "boss-subordinate" relationship. Do i enjoy my work now? I dunno......maybe yes, and maybe no. Suddenly i remember my ex PK did say this to me during my 3 to 4-month nightmare period in Pgd "Ms Wong, u memang bagus dlm handling work pressure......" Now, i'm wondering.....am i?? Sometimes, when i'm overloaded with work, i really wish to do nothing, leave everything behind and js be idle! But....i understand that this is just a coward's and sluggard's way of thinking....tat's why everytime i'll still be facing every challenge wif smile... B4 this, i did blame tat i was too soft-hearted wif things and ppl around, but now i may think tat this is my strength, due to this, i may easily forgive and forget.....by not hurting anyone....

Sometimes, i do think tat i've slowly become quite "fake" in person.....take for an example, b4 this, i called Mr N as Mr Nirinder...then a guy told me this b4 he resigned "u know, Mr Nirinder loves others to call him as BOSS, so nx time remember to call him as BOSS ya!" i was like?????....then i forced myself to call him as BOSS, hi boss, good morning boss...yes boss??...js because i knew he would like it....now, i've used to call him as boss, & the main reason behind is tat, it's quite lengthy and time-consuming to call him "Mr-Ni-Rin-Der......." =P but in my heart, there's only one boss whom i alwiz address "sincerely"....

I appreciate every free time whenever ZZ is on-leave....or.....when i'm left alone in my cubic......when my name is not being called...or screamed!.....And i appreciate when i have the time to enjoy my morning tea/lunch wif Liza...and even talking rubbish wif the male colleagues....one thing good 'bout guys...they're of "take it easy" type...but plis, never never chat wif me when ZZ is in her room during office hrs...or else, all will be kena then! =P

Read this from the internet one day and decided to do something...

Agathians Shelter is an orphanage for boys. It provides a home to orphans, abandoned children, and children of single-parent. At the time of writing, there are 32 children living in the orphanage, ranging from the ages of 4 to 17. The home is managed by 7 committee members, all of whom are volunteers. The home employs one full time staff as caretaker, and a volunteer administrator handles the day-to-day administration work. I remember these words fr my brother 'The starting line isn't that important, but the ending point is'. Yes, they can grasp their future well. Most importantly, i hope that they will grow up happily, just like other kids.

They don't have the choice to be born and stay in whatever family that they wish but i know i have the choice to lend them a hand. Some new shirts/fast food may be insignificant for us but looking at their face, i understand how much they meant for the kids.

Now it's 4:15 a.m...i've js taken my bath, after coming bk fr clubbing and supper...

I've been clubbing for 2 nights, consecutively, 3 destinations, with different frens.

OMG, i can't believe that i'm so happening now...

Well, now i've even forgotten the names of the 2 pubs/clubs that i've gone, erhemm...but it's located in Jln Doraisamy, a street full of pubs/lounges/clubs near to Jln Sultan Ismail...Really a happening spot! If you wish to see sexy & pretty gals, nice and expensive cars.....Go for it!
